“WALK IN THE SPIRIT”

When God created mankind, He created us in His image after His likeness and gave us authority over all His creation (Gen. 1:26 – 28; 2:7). Because God is a Spirit, we too are a spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body (Jn. 4:24; I Thess. 5:23).

Most of our struggles in life is because our mind has not been renewed to the Word of God and because of a lack of discipline (Rom. 12:1, 2; I Cor. 9:24 – 27; Eph. 4:23; Col. 3:9, 10). Remember Satan has already been defeated. The only true power he has is what you and I give him through deception and yielding to temptations (Eph. 4:27).

If we walk in the spirit (in our renewed mind) we will walk in victory over all the works of the enemy (I Cor. 15:57; II Cor. 2:14; Gal. 5:16; I Jn. 4:4; 5:4). If we walk in the spirit, we won’t fulfill the desires of the flesh.
