In nature there are two creatures that transform themselves in their appearance that resembles nothing like their former appearance.  These two creatures are the tadpole, and the caterpillar.  One changes into a frog while the other, into a butterfly.

As Christians, in order for us to change and become Christ – like we must renew our minds to the word of God (Rom. 12:2; Col. 3:10).  If we don’t renew our minds, we will be fashioned just like the world, carnal minded (Rom. 8:6 – 8; I Cor. 3:1 – 3).  To be carnal minded is to think and act as the world does. God wants us to act like Jesus, to be transformed.
