A STAR IS BORN

One of the greatest holiday’s that we celebrate every year is Christmas.  To some it means, “Santa Claus is coming to town”.  To others it means, “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire”, etc.  However, for whatever reason you choose to celebrate this holiday, let me tell you the “true meaning of Christmas”!

The bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (Jn. 3:16, 17).

Jesus (God manifested in the flesh; Jn.1:1 – 4, 14, 6:38) came down from heaven, born of a virgin (Isa. 7:14, 9:6) and gave his life as a sin sacrifice for our sins when he died on the cross (Phil. 2:5 – 11).  The true celebration of Christmas is, remembering the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and why he was born!  God’s greatest gift to the world is his son (Rom. 5:17, 6:23, Eph. 2:8, 9, Jas. 1:17).

When Jesus was born, the wise men brought him gifts (Matt. 2:1 – 11).  Seeing how it is his birthday, what gifts will we bring him?  Remember, it is his birthday so don’t, X – him out!  One of the best ways to bring him gifts, is to remember the poor (Matt. 25:35 – 40, Acts 20:35, Gal. 2:10, Eph. 4:28).

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
