GIVE THANKS

“GIVE THANKS”

When someone does something good or kind for you, it is just common courtesy to say, “Thank you”!  One of the things that the Apostle Paul says will happen in the last days, is that people will become unthankful (II Tim. 3:1, 2).  If someone gave you a transmitted disease, would you say thank you?  I don’t think so!

The bible says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (Jas. 1:17).  So let us give the Lord thanks, because He is good (Ps. 107:1), and He does not change.

Jesus was a man who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38).  Sickness is not a gift from God because it is not good or perfect. Healing is a good gift, so let us always remember to thank Him.  Remember the ten lepers, only one returned to give thanks for God’s goodness (Lk. 10:11 – 19).  As we celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday, let us remember to thank the Lord Jesus everyday no matter what situation we may be facing, because He’s worthy (Ps. 34:18, 19; Eph. 5:20; I Thess. 5:18).

    Pastor Dixon,
Prayerfully this find you, the First Lady, and ALL in the AGFC Family. I am not an official “member” of your church, but I am your Brother IN Christ, who has been affected deeply by someone in your congregation…Brother Cornell, who serves in the Prison Ministry.
Pastor, just as in your blog, “The Greatest Love of All”, this Brother would constantly (and does) come into the Carson City Correctional Facility and bring the Light of Love, bring the Bread of Life to nourish us in love, and bring the uncut Word of God, that IS the guide to love. I am no longer incarcerated, as I was released on 28 OCT 14 (after 9 yrs.), and am living the love by sharing the love that was shared and given to me. I now KNOW Him, our Lord Jesus, and I KNOW that He IS Love. (I John 4:16). I can say that I’ve learned that, people would not find it so hard to love their enemies and pray for those who despitefully use them (us) IF we’d realize that, loving them relieves US of unnecessary pressure, headaches, and burdens.
May you and ALL those in the AGFC Family prosper as your soul prospers. (III John 2). May WE see all of the blessings that we have EACH day and appreciate them (Psalm 68:19). Thank you, and Brother Cornell, for choosing to BE who God created you to be. Thank God for you all!!! Maybe I’ll be invited one day to share my testimony and write a song for you!!!

    IN CHRIST, THROUGH LOVE,
    Robt. IV
